GENERALINFORMATION
Thefuellterislocatedinthefueltank.Itispartofthefuelpumpmoduleassemblyandshouldlastthelifeofthe
vehicle;however,itisreplaceableiftheneedshouldarise.Inaddition,themoduleassemblyfeaturesafuelpickup
screentocatchlargerparticlesbeforeenteringthefuellter.

1.Disablethevehicle.
2.Disconnectthebattery.
3.Removefuelpumpmodule(1)(Figure21-23,Page21-24).SeeFuelPumpModuleRemoval.
4.Disconnecttheexhoses(2and3)fromlter(4).
4.1.Pullthehoseretainerclipstraightupandoutofthelter.Donotdiscardclip.
4.2.Pulltheexhosesstraightoutofthelterinletandoutlet.
5.Removelterfromfuelpumpmoduleanddisposeofproperly.
