•Priortoservicingtheexternalcharger,disconnecttheDCplugfromthevehiclechargerreceptacle
andtheACpowersupplycordfromthewalloutlet.
•Priortoservicingtheonboardcharger,disconnecttheACpowersupplycordfromthewalloutletand
removethebatterychargerfromthevehicle.SeeOnboardChargerRepairsonpage15-26.
NUMBERINGVEHICLESANDCHARGERS
Returnthevehiclestothesamechargereachnightifpossible.Ifthevehiclesareputinastoragefacilityatrandom
andavehicledieswhileinuseandtestingshowsthebatteriesaresound,thentheproblemismostlikelywiththe
charger.However,ndingtheproblemchargermayprovetobequitetimeconsuming.Numberingthevehiclesand
thechargersandreturningeachvehicletoitsdesignatedchargereachnightcansignicantlyreducetheamount
oftimespenttroubleshootingaproblem.

NOTE:ThetriangularchargestatuslightdoublesastheUSBlight.FlashinggreenmeansdatatransferfromtheUSB
isoccurring.Solidgreenmeansdatatransferiscomplete.
UsetheUSBserviceportforchargingalgorithmupdates,softwareupdatesandtroubleshooting.
Tousetheport,pullthecoverfromtheportandinsertaUSBashdrive.
Toupdatecharger:Withupdatelealreadyonashdrive,insertdriveintochargerandletchargerndleand
updateitself.
Todownloadfromcharger:Insertanemptyashdriveintochargerandletchargerwritechargehistoryletoit.
Whennished,reinstallthecover.
INCOMINGACSERVICE
MakesuretheincomingAClineserviceissufcient.Ifcircuitbreakersaretripping,fusesblowduringthenightorthe
chargerdoesnotgivetherequiredstartingratewhensoundbatteriesareputoncharge,anAClineproblemexists.
Theelectricalservicetothevehiclestoragefacilityshouldbesufcienttodeliveradequatevoltageandcurrenttoeach
chargerwithallthechargersturnedon.Ifnot,consultyourlocalpowercompanyorelectricalcontractor.
