Sometimesthefaultcircuitscatchatemporaryeventthatisnotatruefaultinthesystem.Itisgoodpracticeto
turnthecontrolsystemOFFandbackONagaintoseeifthefaultclearsbyitself.
TheDiagnosticsmenuisaccessedbyusingthearrowkeystohighlightDiagnosticsandpressingtheSelectsoftkeyto
activatethemenu.UndertheDiagnosticsmenuaretwofolders:PresentErrorsandFaultHistory.
FaultsdisplayedintheDiagnosticsmenuwillaidthetrainedtechnicianintroubleshootingthevehicle.Faultsdisplayed
oftenindicatewhichcomponentsintheelectricalsystemneedtobetested.
SincetheDiagnosticsmenuisupdatedwhilethevehicleisinoperation,thetrainedtechnicianhastheabilityto
monitortheoccurrenceoffaultsinconditionsorlocationswhereaproblemwithvehicleperformancehasbeen
reported.SeefollowingWARNING.
WARNING
•Thevehicleoperatorshouldnotmonitorthehandsetwhilethevehicleisinmotion.Atechnician
canmonitorthehandsetwhiletravelingasapassengerinthevehicle.Failuretoheedthiswarning
couldresultinseverepersonalinjuryordeath.
PRESENTERRORSFOLDER
TheFaultHistoryfolderdisplaysallexistingfaultsinchronologicalorder.Aniteminthisfoldercanonlyberemovedby
remedyingthefault.Aslongasthefaultexists,itwillbeincludedinthePresentErrorsfolder.The“number/number”
intheupperrightcornerofthescreenindicatesthenumberofpresentfaultsandwhichfaultishighlighted.Example:
“1/3”meanstherstofthreetotalfaultsishighlighted.
FAULTHISTORYFOLDER
TheFaultHistoryfolderdisplaysallofthefaultsdetectedbythecontrollersincethelasttimethefaulthistoryhas
beencleared.Thefaultsdisplayedinthisfoldermayormaynotbecurrentlyactive.Onceafaulthasbeendetected,
itisstoredinthememoryofthecontrollerfordisplayontheFaultHistoryfolder.Eachdetectedfaultislistedonly
once,evenifthefaulthasoccurredmultipletimes.Youcancleartheentirecontentsofthisfoldertoallowafresh
FaultHistorytobestarted.
