1.Installationisreverseofremovalprocedure.Whenattachingtransaxletopowertrain,initiallyinstalltheeightbolts
(1)nger-tight(Figure24-13,Page24-12).Then,tightenfastenersinthefollowingorder:
1.1.Tightenthetwobolts(1)atclutchplate(3)to50lb·ft(68N·m).
1.2.Tightenthefourbolts(1)atenginepan(2)to50lb·ft(68N·m).
1.3.Tightenthetwobolts(1)atmuferbracketto50lb·ft(68N·m).
1.4.Tightenthegovernorcablebracket(2)andFNR/acceleratorcablebracket(2)boltsto50lb·ft(68N·m)

1.5.Tightenleafspringhardwareto19lb·ft(26N·m)atchassisandshackle.SeeRearSuspensionsection.
1.6.Tightenlowernutsofshockabsorbersuntilcushionsexpandtobethesamediameterasthemounting
washers.
1.7.Tightentransaxledrainplugto17lb·ft(23.5N·m).

3.Ensurethatallwiresandcablesaresecuredproperlywithwireties.SeefollowingWARNING.
WARNING
•Ifwiresandcablesareremovedorreplacedmakesuretheyareproperlyroutedandsecuredtovehicle
frame.Failuretoproperlyrouteandsecurewiresandcablescouldresultinvehiclemalfunction,
propertydamageorpersonalinjury.
