Whattodo:MonitorHeatsinkTemp,batteryvoltage,brakesdragging,carunderextremeloads,lowornoair
pressureintire(s).
ANTI-TAMPERFAULT
IfcommunicationwiththeVisageorGuardianunitisinterrupted,thecontrollerregistersananti-tamperfault.
Whatitmeans:Thisisasymptom,notacause.ThecontrollerissettocommunicatewithaVisageorGuardianunit
anditisunableto.
Whattodo:CleartheFaultHistoryintheCDT.Ensurewiringisconnectedandinspectfordamagedwires.Ifthe
vehicleisnotornolongergoingtobeequippedwiththeseservices,changeControlModesettingtozero(0).
HPD
TheHPD(HighPedalDetect)faultisdetectediftheacceleratorpedalisalreadydepressedwhenthekeyswitchis
turnedtotheONposition.Thisfaultisalsodetectediftheacceleratorpedalispressedwhentheselecteddirection
ischangedbypressingtheForward/Reverseswitch.Thisfault,whennotcausedbytheoperator,canindicate
thatthepedallimitswitchhasfailedclosed.
Whatitmeans:Thepedalisdepressedbeforethekeyswitchand/ortheFNRisswitchedon.Thisisasafety
controlandthecontrollermustseethepedalengagedlastinthefollowingsequence:keyswitchrst,FNRsecond,
andthenpedallast.
Whattodo:Checkthrottlepercentageand,ifat0,issueisdrivererror.
MAINDRVROVERCURRENT
Ifthecurrentontherelaydriverexceeds120mA,orthecurrentonthesolenoiddriverexceeds6A,amaindriver
overcurrentfaultisdetected.
LOCKOUTFAULT
Ifthecontrollerreceivesasignalthatthechargerinterlockisactivatedwhilethevehicleisbeingdriven,thecontroller
registersalockoutfaultandmaypreventthevehiclefromoperating.
Whatitmeans:Thisisasymptom,notacause.Thecontrollershouldonlyseechargerinterlockactivatedwhenthe
charger'sDCcord(externalcharger)isconnectedtothevehicleorACcord(onboardcharger)isconnectedtoanAC
outlet.Onepossiblecauseisfailureofthe10kohmresistorinthechargerinterlockcircuit.
Whattodo:CleartheFaultHistoryintheCDT .Ifthefaultdoesnotreturnandthecaroperatesnormally,donot
replacethecontroller.Ifthefaultcontinuestooccur,inspectandtestthechargerinterlockcircuit.SeeTestProcedure

inthechargerinterlockcircuit,replacethecontroller.
LOWSOC
Ifthecontrollerseesthatthebatterypackhasreachedalowstateofcharge(SOC),thecontrollerregistersalow
SOCfault.
