–Propertensionforanewstarter/generatorbeltis120to130lbf(534to578N).

8.2.Thebelttensiontoolcanbetemporarilyleftinplace.

10.Maintaintensionandtightenadjustmentnut(4)to15to18lb·ft(20to24.5N·m).Tightenhexnuts(7)to20to
25lb·ft(27to34N·m)(Figure19-13,Page19-15).
11.Removebelttensiontool.
12.Conrmproperbelttensionwithanalmeasurement.
13.Connectsparkplugwire.
