Floater height (TC)
Measure:
- height (a).
If outside specications: adjust.
Floater height: 8 mm (0.3149 in.).
Measurement and adjustment points:
- Clamp the carburettor in an upside down position.
NOTE
- Slowly tilt the carburettor and take the measurement when the needle is
aligned with the oater arm.
- With the carburettor in a horizontal position, the oater weight pushing on
the needle will affect the measurement.
- Measure the distance of the bowl mating face to the top edge of the oater
with a calliper.
NOTE
The oater arm should be resting, but not pressing on the
needle.
- If oater height is not as specied, check valve seat and valve.
- If either one is worn, replace both.
- if both parts are in good condition, adjust oater height bending the tab (b)
on the oater.
- Check the oater height again.
Floater (TC)
Check:
- The oater (10).
Replace it if damaged.
Accelerator pump (TC)
Check:
- The diaphragm (a) of the accelerator pump (11).
- The spring (b).
- The cover (c).
Replace the diaphragm if damaged.
