Possible troubles that may occur in service are covered in this paragraph. For each trouble, possible causes and suggested remedy
is indicated.

Oil leaks past the sealing ring 1. Worn sealing ring 1. Replace sealing ring

Loss of feedback 1. Worn sliding bushings 1. Replace sliding bushings
2. Spent oil 2. Change oil
Unsmooth movement of legs 1. Fork leg improperly aligned 1. Loosen wheel axle and achieve
orrect alignment
Fork response unaffected by 1. Needle inside rod is stuck 1. Clean or replace rod
changes to setting 2. Adjuster screw stuck 2. Remove and clean adjuster screw
3. Debris in oil 3. Change oil and thoroughly
