Monitor Zone Settings 125
User Guide v 1.0 — February 2020 System Setup
10.10 Monitor Zone Settings
When enabled, the Allow Monitor Regulation For Selection lets the user change the
regulation mode to 'Monitor' for zones in the Quick Set screen. If a zone is currently in
Monitor regulation when this parameter is de-selected, the system automatically changes
the regulation mode to 'Automatic'.
When enabled, the Exclude Monitor Zones From At-Temperature lets the user exclude zones
set to Monitor regulation from the At-Temperature condition by the system. By default,
monitor zones are included in the At-Temperature condition.
To select the monitor zone settings, do the steps that follow:
1. On the System Setup screen, touch the Heats Setup tab and then the Monitoring tab.
2. Below Monitor Zone Settings, touch the check box next to an item you want to enable,
so the check mark shows. The items are:
• Allow Monitor Regulation for Selection
• Exclude Monitor Zones From At-Temperature
3. Touch the Accept button.
10.11 Power Limiting
Power limiting is used to control the maximum output power supplied to each zone. The
output power limit for each zone can be set from 0% to the Global Output Power Limit value.
If the Global Output Power Limit value is adjusted lower than the zone setting then the
power limit for each zone is automatically decreased by the system to not exceed the global
value.
To set the global output power limit, do the steps that follow:
1. On the System Setup screen, touch the Heats Setup tab and then the Monitoring tab.
2. Touch the Global Output Power Limit field below Power Limiting.
3. Enter the percentage and then touch the Accept button.
10.12 Power Deviation
The Power Deviation alarm alerts the operator when the power output percentage on a zone
deviates a specified amount while running under usual conditions. This information can be
used to detect plastic leaks in the nozzle bore or manifold pocket.
To set or make a change to this feature, do the steps that follow:
1. On the System Setup screen, touch the Heats Setup tab and then the Monitoring tab.
2. Touch the Setup Alarm button below Power Deviation.
