164 Target Settings
12.3.1 Target Settings
Use the Target Settings fields of the screen to enable and configure the zone limit ranges for:
• Current
• Power
• Temperature
• Voltage
To configure the Target Settings for one or more zones, do the steps that follow:
1. On the process Limits screen, touch to highlight one or more zones you want to set.
NOTE: If you select more than one zone, select them by the same category (Current,
Power, Temperature, or Voltage) if they are to be in the same limits.
2. Touch the Lower Limit field, enter the setting for the category measurement (amps,
percentage, degrees, or volts), and then touch the Accept button.
3. Touch the Upper Limit field, enter the setting for the category measurement (amps,
percentage, degrees, or volts) and then touch the Accept button.
Lower Limit The lowest value the process variable value can be at before there is an “out
of specification” alarm or the system stops. The action is configured in the
Global Settings area of the screen.
Upper Limit The highest value the process variable value can be at before there is an “out
of specification” alarm or the system stops. The action is configured in the
Global Settings area of the screen.
Process Outside
Limit
When enabled, this activates the Process Outside Limit (Digital Output 6)
signal when one or more of the process variables goes out of specification
limits. This output is found in the I/O settings screen.
Critical Variable
Action - Heats
With the Critical check box enabled, this sets the action for the heats when a
process variable goes out of specification. This parameter is only shown when
the controller is configured with heats.
Critical Variable
Action - Servos
With the Critical check box enabled, this sets the action for the servos when a
process variable goes out of specification. This parameter is only shown when
the controller is configured with UltraSync-E and/or Mold Servo Control.
Delay Limit Check -
Heats Limit
Sets the amount of time the controller waits while At-Temperature before the
system starts a check of the specification limits.
Delay Limit Check -
Servos Limit
Sets the number of cycles in Engaged mode that the controller must
complete before the system starts a check of the specification limits.
Limit Check Active This is illuminated when the system does the Limit Check operation of the
heats and servos.
Process Variable
Selector
Touch this button to select the process variable groups you want to see on
the process Limits screen.
