DOWNLOAD VORTEX
Description: Allows transfer of VPS configuration information to any personal computer
capable of uploading and downloading a file to a disk using XMODEM protocol with CRC
error checking.
Command Level: 6
Syntax: DOWNLOAD VORTEX
DOWN V
Comments: Use this command to save to disk the configuration of the VPS. Later, this
same file can be used to upload the VPS in the event of a software upgrade or CPU
failure.
Notes: The personal computer must be equipped with a communications software
package which allows saving of information and transfer of information to a floppy disk,
hard disk, or RAM. The software package must also be capable of uploading information
from the personal computer to another device, such as the VPS. Refer to the
communications software package instruction manual for specific operating information.
This command requires a communication program which supports XMODEM and CRC
checking.
