SET-SYSTEM_IDENTIFICATION
(SET-SID)

General Description: Instructs LMS1000 to change its system identifier (SID)
parameter to a given value. The system identifier parameter can also be set using the
"SET UNIT" command.
LMS1000 uses the value of the system identifier parameter as the target identifier in an
input command and source identifier in a command response or autonomous message.
An entry is made in the LMS1000’s event log indicating this command was executed by
the current sessions user.

LMS1000 Access Level: 6
An error response with the error code PICC is returned if this command is entered by a
valid user whose level of access is less than the access level of this command.
LMS1000 Equivalent: SET UNIT
LMS1000 Input Format Variations:
<aid>
The access identifier (<aid>) parameter does not apply. The only valid value for this
parameter is NULL. Invalid values received for this parameter return an error response
with the error code IIAC.
<sid>
This parameter determines the new system identifier to be assigned to LMS1000. The
value may be any valid simple or compound TL1 identifier, or a text string with a
maximum length of twenty characters. Valid character values are any alphanumeric
characters or the - character. Invalid values for this parameter return an error response
with the error code IDNV.
