Configure EtherChannels via the Logix Designer Application
In the navigation pane, click EtherChannels.
You can add, edit, and delete EtherChannel members.
Add an EtherChannel
To add an EtherChannel, follow these steps.
1. On the EtherChannels view, click Add.
2. Choose a number to assign to the EtherChannel.
3. Click a mode to assign to the EtherChannel.

4. In the use for EtherChannel column, check the checkbox next to each
port to participate in the EtherChannel.
5. Click Close.
Table 57 - EtherChannels Fields
Field Description
EtherChannel A number to identify the EtherChannel. See
Table 54 for the maximum number of EtherChannels available per switch.
Mode Determines how ports become active. With all modes except Static, negotiations occur to determine which ports become active. Incompatible
ports are put into an independent state and continue to carry data traffic, but do not participate in the EtherChannel.
IMPORTANT: Make sure that all ports in an EtherChannel are configured with the same speed and duplex mode.

Members The ports that can participate in the EtherChannel.
Status The status of the group.
