3.4.3.8 Objects and Rules Settings
The Objects and Rules submenu allows you to configure objects and rules, which can be
used in other configuration pages. This submenu includes the following items:
îš„ Protocols (refer to ''Configuring Protocols'' on page 120)
îš„ Net
work Objects (refer to ''Configuring Network Objects'' on page 121)
îš„ Scheduler Rules (refer to ''Co
nfiguring Scheduler Rules'' on page 122)
3.4.3.8.1 Configuring Protocols
The Protocols item displays a list of preset and user-defined applications and common port
settings. You can use protocols in various security features such as Access Control and
Port Forwarding. You may add new protocols to support new applications or edit existing
ones according to your needs.
¾ To define a protocol:
1. Click the Protocols item (Configuration tab > Data Settings menu > Objects and
Rules submenu > Protocols page item); the following page appears:

2. Click the Advanced button for a complete list of supported protocols.
3. Click the New Entry link; the following page appears:
