11 Open Solution Network (OSN) Server
The device features an embedded, Open Network Solution (OSN) platform for hosting third-
party services (such as an IP PBX). The OSN server features an Intel® Atom™ 1.6 GHz
processor, with 1 GB RAM, and a single storage hard disk drive (SATA min. 20 GB).
The procedure for installing software (operating system) on your OSN server is described
below. The OSN server's port interfaces are located on the device's rear panel. These ports
include three USB ports for connecting computer peripherals such as a mouse and
keyboard and one VGA port for connecting to a monitor.
¾ To connect the OSN server's port interfaces:
1. Connecting to a monitor: connect a 15-Pin D-type male connector to the VGA female
port (labeled VGA), and then connect the other end of the cable to a monitor.
2. Connecting computer peripherals: connect the USB plugs to the USB 2.0 (Standard-A
type) ports (labeled USB), and then connect the other end of the USB cables to the
peripheral equipment (external CD-ROM drive, keyboard, and mouse).

3. Connect the device to power.
4. Insert the operating system (OS) CD media (Linux or Microsoft Windows) into the CD-
ROM drive.
5. Continue according to the CD's installation instructions.
