3.4.3.2 WAN Access Settings
The WAN Access menu allows you to configure your WAN (Internet) connection. When
subscribing to a broadband service, your Internet Service Provider (ISP) should provide you
information regarding the method by which you are connecting to the Internet.
The device can connect to the broadband service (WAN), using the following method:
îš„ Ethernet interface (copper or fiber cable), using connection methods such as
automatic IP address allocation or Point-to-Point Protocol over Ethernet (PPPoE).
3.4.3.2.1 Configuring Ethernet WAN Interface
For Ethernet WAN interface, you can configure the device to use one of the following
methods for connecting to the Internet:
îš„ Manual IP address Ethernet connection
îš„ Automatic IP address Ethernet connection
îš„ Point-to-Point Protocol over Ethernet (PPPoE)
îš„ Point-to-Point Tunneling Protocol (PPTP)
îš„ Layer 2 Tunneling Protocol (L2TP)
The type of connection should be as instructed by your ISP. If you do not have an Internet
connection or if you want to disable all existing connections, select 'No Internet Connection'
from the 'Connection Type' drop-down list.
¾ To configure the Internet (WAN) connection:
1. Click the Settings item (Configuration tab > Data Settings menu > WAN Access
submenu > Settings page item); the following page appears:

2. From the 'Connection Type' drop-down list, select the required WAN connection type:
• 'Automatic IP Address Ethernet Connection'
• 'Manual IP Address Ethernet Connection': specify the following parameters:
♦ IP address
♦ Subnet mask
