GLOW PLUG
REMOVAL
CAUTION:
D Do not damage heating section of the glow plug.
D Do not use glow plug that has been dropped from height
of over 10 cm (4 in.).
D When removing glow plug, first loosen it by using a tool
so that one or more screw threads remain engaged, then
loosen and remove by hand.
1) Disconnect negative cable at battery.
2) Remove intercooler and intercooler bracket (1).
3) Disconnect each coupler and install wire harness protector (2).
4) Remove bracket (3) with fuel heater.
5) Disconnect glow plug cable (1) from glow plug (2).
6) Remove glow plug from cylinder head.
INSTALLATION
For installation, reverse removal procedure noting the following.
D Tighten glow plug to specified torque.
Tightening Torque
Glow plug (a): 10 N
.
m (1.0 kg-m, 7.5 lb-ft)
