FUEL PUMP
ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION
1) Check that fuel pump operating sound is heard from fuel pump
for 5 seconds and then stop when turning on ignition switch.
If above check result is not satisfactory, advance to “Diagnostic
Flow Table B-1” in Section 6.
2) Check that fuel pressure is felt at fuel feed hose (1) for about 5
seconds after ignition switch ON.
If fuel pressure is not felt, advance to “Diagnostic Flow Table
B-3” in following section.

D For vehicle equipped with triple-connector ECM : Section 6-1
REMOVAL/INSPECTION/INSTALLATION
Refer to “FUEL PUMP” in Section 6C.
FUEL HEATER
Refer to “FUEL HEATER” in Section 6C.
