Method for resetting stroke of the work equipment cylinder
CAUTION
Reset the stroke of work equipment cylinder always after the engine is started, and move the machine.
The
cylinder sensor may mistakenly detect the stroke and causes the work equipment to move unex-
pectedly if the operation is started without resetting the work equipment cylinder. This may result in se-
rious personal injury or death.
The posture of work equipment may change slightly due to hydraulic drift of work equipment while engine is
stopped.
Sensor
cannot detect the change of posture while engine is stopped. The posture of work equipment displayed
on the control box at engine start may change if hydraulic drift occurs.
Reset the work equipment posture detection according to the following procedure.
1.
Move the R.H. work equipment control lever slowly in the direction to the end of the bucket DUMP side.
2.
Move the R.H. work equipment control lever slowly in the direction to the end of the bucket CURL side.
3.
Repeat steps 1 to 2 a few times.
4.
Move the L.H. work equipment control lever slowly in the direction to the end of arm OUT side.
5.
Move the L.H. work equipment control lever slowly in the direction to the end of arm IN side.
6.
Repeat steps 4 to 5 a few times.
7.
Check that both bucket and arm are most retracted position.
8.
Move the R.H. work equipment control lever slowly in the direction to the end of boom RAISE side.
9.
Move the R.H. work equipment control lever slowly in the direction to the end of boom LOWER side.
10.
Repeat steps 8 to 9 a few times.
11.
Check visually that posture of work equipment displayed on the control box is the same as that of the actual
machine.
METHOD FOR SHUTTING DOWN CONTROL BOX
WARNING
Do not operate the control box during the operation of the work equipment in order to prevent unex-
pected
accident from occurring. Also, do not gaze the control box during the operation of the work
equipment.
When shutting down the control box, set the machine to the parking posture defined in the Operation and Main-
tenance
Manual of standard machine. Check the precautions for starting the engine, secure the safety, and then
start it.
It takes some time to turn off (shut down) the power of control box, but this is not a failure. Wait a little while until
it is finished.
When turning off the power supply of the machine and turning off the power
supply of control box
NOTICE
Do not turn the starting switch to OFF position before starting of control box is completed. This may
cause failures of the control box. Before turning the starting switch to OFF position, make sure that the
starting of control box is completed. Do not turn the starting switch to ON position while control box is
being shut down after starting switch is turned to OFF position, nor repeat turning ON/OFF of starting
switch, because such operation may cause failures of control box.
