Caution for the canceling the starting switch interlock function of control box
Starting and ending of the intelligent Machine Control system is interlocked with starting switch.
It
can be stopped individually regardless of the starting switch being turned off. In this case, the intelligent Ma-
chine Control system does not end even if the starting switch is turned to OFF position. For this setting, consult
your Komatsu distributor.
End the intelligent Machine Control system individually when the individual end is set. Always end the control
box according to the following procedure.
1.
Tap the main menu button on the control box.
2.
The menu screen is displayed. Tap the “Exit” button.
If system does not end by above procedure, end it by pressing the Reset button of control box in emergency
.
Wait for 2 minutes if it is not emergency. Control box automatically terminates.
• The following phenomena may occur related to the intelligent Machine Control system when the individual
end is set, but they are not failures.
Sound volume becomes 0, but it is restored by turning the starting switch to ON position.
The posture of work equipment displayed on the control box differs from that of actual machine due to the
hydraulic drift of work equipment. Check it after turning the starting switch to ON position by referring to
“METHOD FOR CHECKING CONTROL BOX SCREEN DISPLAY”.
• When the individual end is set, pay attention to the following.
Battery is not charged while the engine is stopped. At the end of day's operation or when the machine is to
be parked for a long time, end the intelligent Machine Control system without fail.
If the intelligent Machine Control system has been continuously used for a long time, battery may be dis-
charged. If the battery is discharged, read the Operation and Maintenance Manual of standard machine,
OPERATION, TROUBLES AND ACTIONS, “PRECAUTIONS FOR DISCHARGED BATTERY”.
End the intelligent Machine Control always before disconnecting the wiring harness associated with remov-
al of control box, and when turning the battery disconnect switch to OFF position associated with long-term
storage or maintenance.
Performing wrong procedure may break the intelligent Machine Control system, and the system may not
start normally. If it does not start normally, consult your Komatsu distributor.
METHOD FOR STOPPING ENGINE

Keep away from the exhaust pipe immediately after stopping the engine.
