• Calibrate the Vigilance II monitor before monitoring. For more information, see the Vigilance II
operator’s manual for the calibration instructions.
• For the Vigilance II monitor, Flow Control must be set to 2 seconds.
20.5.3 Connecting to the Vigileo Monitor
The following figure shows the rear housing connectors of the Vigileo monitor.
To connect the Vigileo monitor, follow this procedure:
1.
Connect the end of the CCO/SvO
2
cable marked CN1 to the CCO/SvO
2
module.
2. Insert the CVP signal end of the CCO/SvO
2
cable into the analog signal input port on the rear housing of
the Vigileo monitor.
3. Insert UART end of the CCO/SvO
2
cable into the serial port on the rear housing of the Vigileo monitor.
4. Enter the Serial Port Setup menu of the Vigileo monitor, and make the following settings:
â—† Device: IFMout
â—† Baud Rate: 19200
â—† Parity: None
â—† Stop Bits: 1
â—† Data Bits: 8
â—† Flow Control: 2 seconds
5. Enter the Analog Input Port Setup menu of the Vigileo monitor, and set the CVP as follows:
â—† Parameter: CVP
â—† Voltage Range: 0-5 v
â—† Full Scale Range: 100 mmHg (13.3 kPa)
â—† Simulated High Value:100 mmHg (13.3 kPa)
â—† Simulated Low Value: 0 mmHg (0.0 kPa)
