22.9 Redirect Number and Calling Name (Display)
The following tables define the device's redirect number and calling name (Display) support
for various ISDN variants according to NT (Network Termination) / TE (Termination
Equipment) interface direction:

22.10 SDH / SONET Configuration
Note: This section is applicable only to PSTN STM-1 / OC-3 ports on the TP-6310
blade.
The device supports STM-1 and OC-3 optical fiber transmission modes. Optical fiber
transmission is configured using the PSTNTransmissionType parameter (set to 1) and the
fiber mode is defined using the SdhFbrGrp_SdhSonetMode parameter (set to 1 for STM-1,
or 2 for OC-3). The device supports Automatic Protection Switch (APS) for these
interfaces.
STM-1 interface: provides short range Synchronous Digital Hierarchy (SDH) STM-1
interface compliant with ITU-T G.707 and ITU-T G.957. The interface operates at
155.52 Mbps over a single-mode fiber span. The device supports VC-4 payload at the
STM-1 signal level. The device supports the asynchronous VC-12 mapping (mapping
of E1s into VC12s and multiplexing of 63 VC12 into an STM-1 frame).
Relevant parameters:
PSTNTransmissionType - set to 'Optical SONET or SDH' (1).
SDHFbrGrp_SDHSONETMode - set to 'STM1' (1)
SDHFbrGrp_Mapping_Type - set to 'Asynchronous TU12 and E1' (1)
OC-3 interface: provides short range SONET OC-3 interface compliant to GR-253-
CORE and ANSI T1.105. The interface operates at 155.52 Mbps over a single-mode
fiber span. The following mapping types in OC-3 are supported:
Asynchronous VT1.5 (DS1 > VT1.5 > STS-1 > OC3) - mapping of T1s into
VT1.5s and multiplexing of 84 VT1.5 into an OC-3 frame
Byte-synchronous VT1.5 (DS1 > VT1.5 > STS-1 > OC3)
Asynchronous mapping of DS3 in STS1, DS3 channelized to DS1s (DS1 > DS3 >
STS-1 > OC3)
