PAGE 5-4
5.1.3 Starting the Drive
The MS-Windows-based Windrive interface may be used to quickly configure the T200, and check basic wiring and
installation as well as simple backward and forward motion of the connected load.
5.1.3.0 Preliminary Step:- Activate WinDrive
Install Windrive using the install instructions detailed in the WinDrive Software Kit, or as described in Section 7.2.
Note that the PC should be connected to the T200 using the RS232 serial cable described in Section 7.4.1.
Under the Drive Menu item, select the Basic Drive Setup option. This will lead the user through the following set of
steps, to perform a quick-setup on the T200.
5.1.3.1 Step 1:- Selection of the Motor
The first user choice concerns the selection of the motor. The user may select between standard and non-standard motor
types (non-standard if the motor Model has a 0 at the 3
rd
character e.g. G403-123). The motor is then selected by choice
of the motor Model or Electrical Type from the scrollable Motor List. The user should first check the Motor
Nameplate for the Electrical Type. The appropriate Electrical Type should then be selected from the Motor List. If the
user cannot find or see the Electrical Type on the Nameplate, then the motor Model should be checked (e.g. G423-
400A).
Once the appropriate motor is selected, then the user should left-click on the Download button to configure the T200
with the motor data set. Refer to Section 4.1 and Section 4.2 for a more detailed explanation of how the motor is
configured. Exit from this dialog to setup the Reference Source.
