7.10.1.4 Reference Rate Limit Set-up
Figure 7.40: Rate Limit Dialog Box
The Rate Limit Dialog box allows limiting of the rate of
change of the velocity and torque commands that are
applied to the drive. Enter this dialog via Set-up from the
Reference Source dialog. Note that this functionality has
been outlined in Section 4.
When in Torque Mode, the T200 torque command is
allowed to climb to the Maximum Torque (specified in
Nm) in a time Torque Rise Time (specified in seconds).
If the T200 is in velocity mode, then the velocity
command is allowed to climb to the Maximum Velocity
(specified in RPM) in a time given by the Acceleration
Time (specified in seconds).
NOTE - The operation of the reference rate limiting is specified in detail in Sections 6.6.1 and 6.6.2.
NOTE – There is a lower limit to the rate limit that can be configured, for both Velocity and Torque
Modes. If the user sets the rate limiting at too low a value (corresponding to seconds to reach peak
torque or nominal motor velocity), then the T200 will impose a minimum rate limit.
