T200 User's Manual SECTION 6: T200 FUNCTIONAL OVERVIEW
PAGE 6-80
6.14.1 Personality Plug
The Personality Plug (Part No.: C25226-001) is a module which allows permanent storage of all T200 user parameters.
The module allows the configuration of the T200 without a PC. I.e. in case a T200 need to be replaced in the field the
T200 can be configured in connecting the plug to the serial interface J4 and powering up the T200.
The following paragraphs describe saving and restoring of user parameters.
Saving using Windrive
• Click on the ‘ File’ menu then the ‘ Save to EEPROM’ option. Click on the ‘ Save’ button. When ‘ Successfully
saved to EEPROM’ message pops up the process is complete. The plug can now be removed.
Saving using a Handheld terminal
• At the ‘ >’ prompt, type ‘ C’ and press the ‘ Enter’ key. When the ‘ >’prompt appears the process is complete. The
plug can now be removed.
When the configuration has been saved, the user should correctly identify the plug using the label supplied on the side of
the plug.
Saving the Custom Point Configuration
• Establish communications using the MOOG EUI (Engineering User Interface) program.
• Type the command ‘ dbcontrol 2’ and press the ‘ Enter’ key. When the ‘* OK*’ message appears, the process is
complete. This will take several seconds, but when it has been completed the plug can then be removed.
Restoring a Configuration from the Plug
To restore the configuration, remove all power from the T200 drive. Insert the plug into connector J4 on the front of the
drive. It is recommended to apply only 24V power to the drive. The drive will then over-write the configuration in the
internal flash. If this is successful, these parameters will then used to configure the drive. In the case of an error, no error
code will be indicated on the display of the T200. The user should therefore verify that the configuration has been
loaded correctly using Windrive or a Handheld terminal before applying the 220VAC supply to the drive.
RS232
PORT
(J4)
When the configuration is restored from the plug, the configuration that is already
stored in the T200 Internal Flash will be over-written.
Care should be taken to ensure that the configuration is correct before activating the
motor as erratic behaviour can result.
