T200 User's Manual SECTION 10: TROUBLE-SHOOTING GUIDE
PAGE 10-10
10.4.3 Fault Type: F3 (Fuse Fault) on 7-Segment Display
The F3 fault is displayed when either the internal regeneration resistor fuse (ONLY on T200-X10 units) or the DC bus
fuse or both fuses have blown. If the drive is enabled the T200 decelerates and disables itself immediately when the fault
occurs. The controller cannot be enabled if it is disabled when the fault occurs.
Table 8: Causes of F3 on 7-segment Display
Cause Check/[Correction]
Excessive Rate of
Power Cycling
Repeated a.c. mains power-on cycles within a short period will cause repeated softstart
cycles. These will eventually cause the fuse to be blown.
WARNING: The T200 should never be opened. Consult Moog
Applications Engineering for help on replacement of the fuse.
[Reduce the frequency of power-on/off cycles to be less than one cycle every 4.5 seconds.]
Too Many T200-X00
Units Connected
Too many T200-X00 units connected to the T200-X10 unit will cause the softstart
mechanism to malfunction. Note that a maximum of 4 T200-X00 units can be
connected to a T200-X10 unit. This will cause the Internal Regeneration Resistor fuse
to blow.
The T200-X00 connected to the T200-X10 draw too much current from the DC bus
during normal operation. This will cause the DC bus fuse to blow.
[Reduce the number of T200-X00s (units without integral High-Power PSU) which are
connected to the T200-X10 (unit with integral High-Power PSU).]
Load Returning too
much Power
As above the load returns too much power. [If a vertical load is carried, a counterbalance
may be needed. Alternatively a larger sized T200, with extra regenerative power capability
may be required. See Section 3.13 for ratings.]
DC Bus Daisy Chain
connection
mis-wired
If the DC Bus Daisy Chain connection is mis-wired (i.e. the two wires have been swapped),
excessive current will be drawn from the DC bus output prior to where the mis-wiring
occurred. This will cause the DC bus fuse to blow.
[Correct the wiring of the DC bus daisy chain.]
