7.7.4 Data Logger
The behaviour of a motor and servo-drive can be observed using the Data Logger Function. Two user configurable
channels, for servo-drive and motor feedback, are provided to plot data in the Data Logger Plots Window. Logging of
data begins either when the Data Logger is triggered by the user set trigger signal, or is automatically updated on a
regular basis.
7.7.5 Auto Tuning (Velocity Mode Only)
Auto Tuning greatly reduces the time needed to configure and tune the T200's velocity loop gain parameters (Note that
the Auto Tuner sets the velocity loop gains only). Auto Tuning tunes a drive automatically by applying a torque
excitation signal to the motor. The motor response data is used to determine the characteristics of the motor and load,
and in turn is used to tune the drive. Minimum input is required from the user. The user is prompted if he wishes to
continue at all stages of the Auto Tuning process. Note that Auto Tuning is described in detail in Section 6.6.2.10.
The Main Window Button Console allows for
quick access to the most frequently used dialogs. It
consists of six icons which are selected in order to
set, or adjust the main parameters required to
configure a T200. From the Main Window Button
Console, the Reference Source, Tuning Parameters,
Velocity and Torque Limit values, Motor Type and
parameters, Limit Switch and Encoder settings may
be viewed and altered.
The functionality of the Button Console changes,
dependent upon whether the T200 is in Configure
or Tune mode. For example, if the T200 high
power is enabled, setup of a motor is not allowed.
