T200 User's Manual SECTION 6: T200 FUNCTIONAL OVERVIEW
PAGE 6-56
6.8.1.5 T200 Warnings
The following is an overview of the warnings detection mechanisms in the T200. Note that the warning codes that are
displayed on the 7-segment display are explained in Section 3.19.
Thermal Foldback Active [ . ]
This warning is active when the torque command is limited due to thermal current limiting (See Self Protection). In this
case the user may interrogate using either WinDrive or the Hand Held Terminal to check the present thermal limit.
Motor Thermal Warning [ U 2 ]
This warning indicates that the motor winding temperature has exceeded 130°C.
Power Amplifier Thermal Warning [ U 3 ]
This warning indicates that the power transistor heatsink temperature has exceeded an appropriate temperature.
Position Tracking Error [ U 4 ]
This warning indicates that the position error has exceeded a user-set threshold. This error will only be present when the
drive is in position mode.
Velocity Tracking Error [ U 5 ]
This warning indicates that the velocity error has exceeded a user-set threshold. This error will be checked in all position
and velocity modes.
Regeneration Limit Exceeded [ U6 ]
The T200 monitors the status of the external regeneration resistor duty cycle, in order to determine if the resistor's
continuous thermal rating is being exceeded. If it is then the T200 will issue a warning. See Section 3.13 for
specifications of the regeneration resistors for each particular T200 model.
Limit Switch(es) Asserted [ U 8 ]
Indicates whether the clockwise and counter-clockwise digital inputs are active. If in Velocity mode, if the limits are
enabled the motor will not rotate in the direction for which the input was activated. For example if the clockwise digital
input is in-active there will be no motion in that direction. Note that if the limit switches are disabled, then the warning
U8 will not flash even if the limit switch hardware is activated.
