T200 User's Manual SECTION 6: T200 FUNCTIONAL OVERVIEW
PAGE 6-22
6.5.12 Drive Power Status
The DRV_ENBLD opto-coupler output shows the enabled status of the T200's high power electronics. If the output is
closed (current flowing) then the power electronics are applying high power to the motor phases. If the output is open
(no current flowing), then the high power has been removed from the motor phases.
Note that the DRV_ENBLD output does not give any indication of the status of power application to the regeneration
resistor. It is possible that current is flowing in the regeneration resistor though the DRV_ENBLD output is opened (no
current flowing).
Software Latency to DRV_ENBLD:- The T200 software monitors the power electronics status and sets the output
according to that status every 8milliseconds.
WARNING:- The user should not attempt to touch T200 high power parts or perform
service on the T200 or debug of an application, if he relies on the status of the
DRV_ENBLD output alone. In this case he should remove all power, wait 5 minutes for
the internal high voltages to dissipate, and then perform the work.
