5.5.7 Configuring the Trunk Group Settings
The Trunk Group Settings option is used to determine the method in which new calls are
assigned to channels within each trunk group. If such a rule doesn't exist (for a specific
Trunk group), the global rule, defined by the 'Channel Select Mode' parameter (Protocol
Definition > General Parameters), applies.
You can also configure the Trunk Group Settings table using the ini file parameter
TrunkGroupSettings (refer to 'Number Manipulation and Routing Parameters' on page
318).
¾ To configure the Trunk Group Settings table, take these 5 steps:
1. Open the 'Trunk Group Settings' screen (Protocol Management menu > Trunk
Group Settings).

2. From the 'Routing Index' drop-down list, select the range of entries that you want to
edit (up to 24 entries can be configured).
3. Configure the Trunk Group Settings table according to the table below.
4. Click the Submit button to save your changes.
5. To save the changes to flash memory, refer to 'Saving Configuration' on page 256.
