◼ Super G3 FAX Board
The "Super G3 FAX Board" enables you to send and receive faxes. You can also send documents that are created in
applications directly from your computer via the network.
● The fax driver that enables faxing via a computer is included.
◼ Super G3 2nd Line Fax Board
This option adds an additional line to the "Super G3 FAX Board" and enables you to use two lines to send and receive
faxes.
● On-Hook is only available with Line 1 (the standard line).
◼ Super G3 3rd/4th Line Fax Board
The Super G3 3rd/4th Line Fax Board enables you to use three or four lines to send and receive fax documents.
◼ Remote Fax Kit
This option is needed to use the Remote Fax function. Even if the machine is not equipped with a fax board, you can
send faxes via another imageRUNNER ADVANCE machine with a fax board installed on the same network.

IP FAX Expansion Kit
Enables you to use IP Fax, a function to send and receive faxes in a TCP/IP network such as an oce LAN. As devices
send and receive faxes within the network, you can reduce the transmission cost. The transmission speed of IP Fax is
faster than conventional fax transmissions.

Universal Send Advanced Feature Set
The Universal Send Advanced Feature Set is useful when using the Send function on the machine. It enables you to
send documents in the following formats.
● Trace & Smooth PDF
The Trace & Smooth mode enables you to convert the text and line drawings of a scanned image to scalable outline
data. The outline data (Trace) can be extracted and used in Adobe Illustrator. The smoothing process can also be
applied to the text of the outline data to make it appear less jagged when viewed on a computer monitor or in print.
● Searchable PDF or Searchable XPS
The Searchable PDF or the Searchable XPS mode enables you to perform OCR (Optical Character Recognition) to
extract data that can be recognized as text from a scanned image. The text can then be added to the le to create a
PDF or XPS le that is searchable.
● Oce Open XML
The Oce Open XML mode enables you to create the Microsoft Oce le standardized by International Organization
for Standardization. This le can be sent in the PowerPoint or Word format from the machine.
◼ Universal Send Security Feature Set
The Universal Send Security Feature Set enables you to use the Send function on the machine with security. It enables
you to send documents in the following formats.
● Encrypted PDF
The Encrypted PDF mode enables you to encrypt PDF les that you send to an e-mail address or le server for
enhanced security. Only users who enter the correct password can open, print, or change the received PDF.
