Fuel Pump Assembly / Fuel Level Gauge
Removal and Installation

Removal
WARNING
!
Spilled gasoline should be wiped off
immediately.
Keep away from fire or spark.
Work in a well-ventilated area.
1) Remove the fuel tank. Refer to “Fuel Tank Removal
and Installation (Page 1G-9)”.
2) Remove the fuel pump mounting bolts diagonally.
3) Remove the fuel pump assembly (1) and disconnect
the fuel level gauge lead wire coupler (2).
4) Remove the fuel level gauge (3) while pushing the
pawl end “A”.
CAUTION
!
Do not pull the lead wire when removing the
fuel gauge.
Installation
Install the fuel pump assembly in the reverse order of
removal. Pay attention the following points:
Install the fuel level gauge (1) into the fuel tank.
NOTE
Push the lock position “A” fully until the
clicking sound heard.
