Oversized High Capacity Feeder (OHCF) Troubleshooting
SKEW ADJUSTMENT LEVERS
The skew adjustment levers are found in all paper trays. The levers are used to improve the paper feed accuracy and
to reduce paper skew problems.
1. Rear skew adjustment lever
2. Right-side skew adjustment lever
• Ensure that the levers remain in their default positions. The default position is 00.The position of the levers
changes only when there is a skew problem when running a specific print job or specific media type.
• Changing the skew adjustment levers from their default position can cause more skew problems when
running certain media types, such as coated, label, and transparency.
To set the skew adjustment levers, perform the following procedure:
1. Pull out the tray slowly until it stops.
2. Slide the rear skew adjustment lever to the right.
3. Gently push in the tray until it stops.
4. From the Tray Properties window, enter the correct paper information, including size, type, weight, and if
necessary, paper curl and alignment.
5. To save the information and close the Tray Properties window, touch OOKK.
6. Run your print job.
• If the paper is fed accurately without skew and the printed output is successful, your task is complete.
• If the paper is skewed and the printed output is unsuccessful, proceed to the next step.
7. Pull out the tray until it stops.
8. Return the rear skew adjustment lever to the left, default position.
9. Slide the right-side skew adjustment lever toward the front of the paper tray.
10. Gently push in the tray until it stops.
11. From the Tray Properties window, enter the correct paper information, including size, type, weight, and if
necessary, paper curl and alignment.
