FINISHER STAPLE FAULTS
Use the following procedures when stapling issues occur with the printed output, such as the sheets are not stapled
or staples are bent. If the problems continue after you have tried the following solutions, contact a Xerox service
representative.

Important:
• Depending on the type of paper being stapled, the staples can be bent. If the bent staples are stuck
inside the finisher, the bent staples can cause paper jams.
• If staple jams occur, open the cover of the staple cartridge, then remove the bent staples. Do not open
the cover of the staple cartridge unless you are removing jammed staples.
Clearing Staple Jams in the Basic Stapler
Note: If the staple cartridge detaches accidentally from the holder, refer to Reinserting the Basic Staple
Cartridge.
Note: Before performing this procedure, ensure that the printer is not printing.
