POWER SAVER
The Power Saver feature has two modes:
• Low Power: After remaining inactive for a preset time period, the device enters the Low Power mode.
• Sleep: After entering Low Power mode and remaining inactive for another preset time period, the device enters
the Sleep mode.
Examples:
• If the Low Power mode is set to 15 minutes and the Sleep mode is set to 60 minutes, the Sleep mode activates
after 60 minutes of total inactivity and not 60 minutes after the Low Power mode begins.
• If the Low Power mode is set to 15 minutes and the Sleep mode is set to 20 minutes, the Sleep mode activates
5 minutes after the Low Power mode begins.
To set the time periods for Low Power mode and Sleep mode, from the control panel, log in as the system
administrator. Press the MMaacchhiinnee SSttaattuuss button, then touch TToooollss >> SSyysstteemm SSeettttiinnggss >> CCoommmmoonn SSeerrvviiccee
SSeettttiinnggss >> PPoowweerr SSaavveerr SSeettttiinnggss.
Exiting the Power Saver Mode
1. To exit the Power Saver mode, at the control panel, press the PPoowweerr SSaavveerr button.
2. Send a print job to the printer or make copies at the printer.
