as a reverse fault detector. This is used in the current reversal logic and in the optional weak
infeed echo feature.
Note: Should the signalling channel fail, the fastest tripping in the Basic scheme will be
subject to the tZ2 time delay.
The signaling channel is keyed from operation of zone 1 elements set to overreach the
protected line. If the remote relay has picked up in zone 1, then it will operate with
Transmission Time (‘Distance schemes / Aid Dist Delay’) delay upon reception of the
permissive signal.
Send logic: Zone 1
Permissive trip logic: Zone 1 plus Channel Received.
