ENGINE OIL REPLACEMENT
•
Place
an
oil
pan
below the engine, and then drain the oil
by
removing
the
engine
oil
drain plug

engine
oil
filler
cap

•
Tighten the engine oil drain plug
© to
the specified torque,
and then pour the
new oil
through
the oil
filler.
When
per-
forming
an oil
change (without
oil
filter
replacement),
the
engine
will
hold about 2.3
L

Use
an engine oil that meets the API service
classifications
SF or
SG and that has
a
viscosity rating

Install the oil
filler
cap

Start the engine and allow it to run for
a
few minutes at idling
speed.

Turn
off
the engine
and
wait
about three minutes,
and
then
check
the
oil
level
on the
dipstick
©. If the
level
is
below
upper line, add oil to that level. The vehicle must
be
in
a
level
position
for accurate measurement.
