ENGINE
COOLANT
Replace
the engine coolant every two
years.

•
Check
the engine coolant level
by
observing the upper
©
and lower
©
lines on the engine coolant reservoir.
• If
the level
is
below the lower line, add engine coolant
until
the
level reaches the upper line.

•
Remove
the lid.

•
Remove
the radiator cap

engine coolant reservoir

•
Place
a pan
below
the
water pump,
and
then drain
the
engine coolant by removing the drain plug
©.
A
WARNING
Do not open the radiator cap when the engine is
hot, as you may be injured by
escaping
hot liquid or
vapor.
Engine
coolant may be harmful if swallowed or if it
comes
in contact
with
the skin or
eyes.
If engine
coolant gets into the eyes or contacts the
skin,
flush
the eyes or wash the skin thoroughly,
with
plenty of water. If engine coolant is swallowed,
induce
vomiting and call a physician immediately.
•
Flush
the radiator
with
fresh water,
if
necessary.
•
Tighten the drain plug securely.
•
Pour
the specified engine coolant into the reservoir.

Use
an antifreeze designed for aluminum radiators
mixed
with
distilled water only,
water/antifreeze mixture ratio: 50 :

Install the radiator cap

securely.
•
After warming
up and
cooling down
the
engine,
add the
specified engine coolant
until
the level
is
between the upper
and lower lines on the engine coolant reservoir.
A CAUTION
Repeat
the above procedure several times and make
sure
the radiator is filled
with
engine coolant to the
upper line of the engine coolant reservoir.
