ROCKER ARM I.D.
Measure the rocker arm bore with a caliper gauge. If the inside
diameter is not within specification, replace the rocker arm with
a new one.
09900-20605: Dial calipers
Rocker arm I.D.
Standard: 12.000-12.018 mm (0.4724-0.4731 in)
REASSEMBLY
• Apply engine oil to the rocker arms and rocker arm shafts.
• After inserting the rocker arm shafts, tighten the set bolts to
the specified torque.
H Rocker arm shaft set bolt: 28 N m (2.8 kgf-m, 20.0 Ib-ft)
A CAUTION
Use a new gasket on the set bolt to prevent oil leakage.

A CAUTION
Identify the position of each removed part. Organize
the parts in their respective groups (i.e. exhaust or
intake) so that they can be reinstalled in their original
positions.
Remove the engine coolant temperature switch ©, thermo-
stat housing (2), and thermostat.
• Remove the intake pipe (3) and cam chain tensioner (4).
