Usethe“Restore.cpfFile”functiontocloneacontrollerwithasaved.cpflestoredintheCDT.
IfusinganOEM-levelCDT ,afteryouhighlightastored.cpfleandchoose“Restore,”apop-upwindowwillaskwhether
youwanttoenableAdvancedCloning(“Yes”/“No”)usingthesoftkeys.ThischoiceisnotofferedintheUser-levelCDT.
WithoutAdvancedCloning(ifyouselect“No”),anOEM-levelCDTwillrestoreonlythoseparametersuptoandincluding
OEMlevel.AdvancedCloning(“Yes”)restoresallparameters,includingthoseatahigherlevel.Thismakesatrue
clonebycopyingparametersthatcannotbeseenattheOEMlevel.ItisrecommendedtoenableAdvancedCloning.
FAVORITES
TheFavoritesmenuisaccessedbypressingtheFavoriteskey(9)(Figure11-1,Page11-1).Thismenucanalsobe
accessedbyusingthearrowkeystohighlightFavoritesandpressingtheSelectsoftkeytoactivatethemenu.Return
totheMainMenuatanytimebypressingtheMainMenukey(6).
TheFavoritesmenuselectionconsistsofthecustomsetofitemsyouhavecreated.Typically,youwillwanttoinclude
theparametersyoumostfrequentlyadjust,alongwiththemonitoritemsyoumostfrequentlycheck.Thiswayyoucan
godirectlytotheseitemsmoreeasilythanbynavigatingthroughtheentireParametersandMonitormenus.
AnyitemorfolderintheParametersorMonitormenucanbeaddedtoFavorites.Onceadded,itcanberenamedif
desired.Whenyouaddaready-madefolderfromtheParametersorMonitormenu,thefoldericonwillappearinthe
Favoritesmenuwithastaronit.Althoughyoucanrenameaready-madefolder,youarenotallowedtorenameany
oftheitemswithinthatfolder.Youcanalsocreatefoldersofyourowntoholdspecicsetsofitems;thesefolders
willbeindicatedwiththeusualfoldericon.Youmaywanttocreateafolderforeachtypeofvehicleorapplication,or
foreachcustomer.
HHPSETTINGS
TheHHPSettingsmenuisaccessedbyusingthearrowkeystohighlightHHPSettingsandpressingtheSelect
softkeytoactivatethemenu.
TheHHPSettingsmenuselectionallowstheusertoadjusttheappearanceofthescreendisplays,adjustseveral
aspectsofthehandheldprogrammer’sfunctionality,anddisplaysinformationpertainingtothehandset.
