1.Removethedrivebeltasinstructed.SeeDriveBeltRemovalonpage23-3.
2.Removethebolt(1)andmountingwasher(2)fromthetransaxleinputshaft(Figure23-14,Page23-13).
3.Graspthedrivenclutchassemblyandslideitofftheshaft.
4.Leavethekey(12)inthekeyway.

CAUTION
•Thedrivenclutchisbalancedasanassembly.Beforedisassembly,makematchmarksonthedriven
clutchxedsheaveandmoveablesheavesotheycanbereassembledinthesamepositions.
1.Makematchmarksonthedrivenclutchxedsheaveandonthemoveablesheavetomaintainbalanceupon
reassembly.
2.Usingexternalsnapringpliers,removetheretainingring(4)(Figure23-15,Page23-15).Seefollowing

WARNING
•Donotplacengersunderthecamwhenremovingthecam.Themoveablefacemayspinwhenthe
cambuttonsreleasefromthecamramps,resultinginseverepersonalinjury.
3.Insertapullerplug(2)(Figure23-16,Page23-15)intotheshaftboreanduseadrivenclutchcampuller(1)to
removethecam(3)fromthexedsheave.
4.Removethespring(6)(Figure23-14,Page23-13).
5.Retainthekey(4).
6.Slidethemoveablesheave(9)offthexedsheave(11).
