WARNING

•Batteriesinalowstateofchargewillfreezeatlowtemperatures.
PREPARINGTHEGASOLINEVEHICLEFOREXTENDEDSTORAGE
1.Unloadthevehiclesothattiresaresupportingonlytheweightofthevehicle.
2.Storevehicleinacool,dryplace.Thiswillminimizebatteryself-discharge.Ifthebatteryappearstobeweak,
haveitchargedbyatrainedtechnician.Useanautomotive-type12-voltbatterychargerratedat10ampsorless.
3.Sealthefueltank.
3.1.Fillfueltank,and,followingmanufacturer’sdirections,addacommerciallyavailablefuelstabilizer.
3.2.Disconnectfuelventlinefromfueltankventnipple.
3.3.Plugthefueltankventnipplesothatitisairtight.Werecommendusingaslip-onvinylcap.
NOTE:Itisnotnecessarytodrainthefuelline.
4.Disconnectbatteryandsparkplugwire(s).

5.Batteryshouldbecleanandfreeofcorrosion.Washtopandterminalsofbatterywithasolutionofbakingsoda
andwater(1cup(237mL)bakingsodaper1gallon(3.8L)ofwater).Rinsesolutionoffbattery.Donotallowthis
solutiontoenterthebattery.LettheterminalsdryandthencoatthemwithBatteryTerminalProtectorSpray.
6.Toprotecttheengine,removesparkplugandpour0.5-oz(14.2mL)ofSAE10weightoilintotheengine
throughthesparkplughole.Rotateenginecrankshaftbyhandseveraltimesandtheninstallthesparkplugand
tightenitto18ft·lb(24.5N·m).
