2.Withresistor(11)inplaceasshown,connectthefourwirestotheappropriatesolenoidterminals.See.Tighten
thenuts(7)thatsecuretheheavy-gaugeyellowandredwiresto72to84in·lb(8to9.5N·m).

Thechargercord,plug,andreceptaclearewearitemsandshouldbeinspecteddaily.Visuallyinspectthemforcracks,
looseconnections,andfrayedwiring;theymustbereplacedwhenwornordamaged.Ifchargerplugorreceptacle
showsignsofcorrosionortheplugisdifculttoinsertorremove,thereceptaclecontactsandplugterminalsshouldbe
cleanedwithagoodelectricalcontactcleanerorlightlysprayedwithWD-40
®
brandspraylubricant.Theplugshould
thenbeinsertedandremovedseveraltimestoensureeaseofinsertion,easeofremoval,andgoodelectricalcontact.

CHARGERRECEPTACLEINSPECTION
Inspectthereceptacleforcracks,looseconnectionsandfrayedwiring.
NOTE:Disassemblyofthechargerreceptacle,forthepurposeofremovalorinstallation,isnotrecommended.
CHARGERRECEPTACLEREMOVAL
1.Disconnectthebatteriesanddischargethecontroller.SeeDisconnectingtheBatteries–ElectricVehicles
onpage1-4.
2.Removekickplate.SeeKickPlateandChargerReceptacleBezel–ElectricVehiclesonpage4-9.
3.Removethe10-gaugeredwirefromthesolenoid.
4.Disconnectthe10-gaugeblackwirefromthecontrollerB-terminal.
5.Disconnectthelightbluewirefrommainharnessatthebulletconnector.
6.Removethethreescrews(1)thatsecurethechargerreceptacle(2)tothebucket.
