NOTE:ThisEFIgasolinevehicleisequippedwithSAEJ30R9fuelhoseratedforhigh-pressuresystems.Always
replacethefuellineonthisvehiclewithapprovedClubCarreplacementpart.Donotattempttorepair,patch
orsplicethefuelline.
Thefuellinemustbeproperlyroutedfromthefueltanktothethrottlebody.Asmall,springsteelbandclampis
usedonthefuellineconnectionatthethrottlebodyandmustbetight.Aplastic,dual-lockingconnectorisusedat
thefueltank.SeefollowingWARNING.
WARNING
•Makesurefuellineisthecorrectlengthandproperlyrouted.Failuretoheedthiswarningcould
resultindamagetofuellineandre.
•Fuelmaybeunderpressure.Useextremecautionwhendisconnectingfuellinetopreventthesprayof
fuelontohotengine.SeeRelievingFuelPressureonpage21-4.
FUELLINEREMOVAL
1.TurnthekeyswitchtotheOFFpositionandremovethekey,placetheForward/ReversehandleintheNEUTRAL
position,andchockthewheels.
2.Disconnectbattery.SeeDisconnectingtheBattery-GasolineVehiclesonpage1-3.
3.Cleanthetopofthefueltankandfuelpumpmodule.
4.Atengine:
4.1.Removespringclampsecuringfuellinetothrottlebody.
4.2.Disconnectfuellineanddrainintoanappropriatecontainer.SeefollowingWARNING.
WARNING
•Fuelmaybeunderpressure.Useextremecautionwhendisconnectingfuellinetopreventthesprayof
fuelontohotengine.SeeRelievingFuelPressureonpage21-4.
•Carefullydrainanyfuelintoanapprovedcontainer.Adddrainedfuelbackintofueltankordispose
ofproperly.
5.Atfueltank:
5.1.Disengageclipasshown(Figure21-12,Page21-18).
5.2.Pushintabtounlockconnectorandpullfuellinefromnippleonfuelpumpmoduleandremovelinefrom
vehicle.
