ThepedalgroupfortheVillager2electricvehicleincludesaMotorControllerOutputRegulator(MCOR)mountedon
thesideofthepedalgroup.TheMCORdetectsthepositionoftheGOpedalandsendsacorrespondingvoltagetothe
motorcontroller.Formoreinformationseethefollowingprocedures:

PEDALGROUPINSTALLATION
1.Connectthewireharness(12)totheMCOR(13)(Figure5-2,Page5-2).
2.Positionthepedalgroupinvehicleandsecurewithtwoscrews(2)onthedriversideandtwoscrews(1)onthe
passengerside.Tightendriversidescrews(2)to97in·lb(11N·m).Tightenpassengersidescrews(1)to
18in·lb(2N·m).
3.Removetheturnbuckle(6)andapplyLoctite
®
242tothethreadedendsofboththerodfromthepedalgroup(8)
andthebrakeactuatorrod(9).Connecttherodsusingtheturnbuckle(6).
4.Adjustthebrakecableequalizertension.SeeBrakeCableEqualizerAdjustmentonpage6-8.
5.Placeoorcoverplate(7)overtheooropeningandsecurewithfastener(10)(Figure5-2,Page5-2).
6.Installtheoormat(2)overthepedalgroup.Makesuretabsonoormatsidesarebeneaththesill(3).Tighten
screws(1)to53in·lb(6N·m)(Figure5-1,Page5-1).
7.Connectbatteries.SeeConnectingtheBatteries–ElectricVehicles,Section1,Page1-4.
