5.2.9.Installtheretainingring(4)(Figure23-15,Page23-15).
NOTE:Theretainingring(4)canbereusediftheO.D.doesnotexceed1.607in.(40.82mm);otherwise,itmust
bereplacedwithanewring.
DRIVENCLUTCHINSTALLATION
1.Toinstallthedrivenclutch,reversetheremovalprocedure.Makesurethatthewasher(2)ismountedwiththe
atportionofthewasheragainstthedrivenclutch(Figure23-14,Page23-13).Securewithanewbolt(1).
SeefollowingNOTE.
NOTE:Thebolt(1)mustbereplacedwithanewboltcontainingalockingpatchthatwillpreventtheboltfromloosening.
2.Tightenthebolt(1)to18ft·lb(24.4N·m).
3.Connectbatteryandsparkplugwire(s).
