NOTE:Thedriver-sideandpassenger-sidebrakecablesarenotinterchangeable.Thedriver-sidecableisshorter
thanthepassenger-sidecable.Makesurethecorrectcableisusedonthecorrectside.
Besuretoorientthecablesothattheclevisendgoestothewheelratherthantotheequalizerbracket.
1.Inserttheendofthenewbrakecablethroughtheholeintheframe(Figure6-18,Page6-12).Pushonthecable
housingsotheclipsonthehousingendssecurethehousinginthehole.
2.Holdthebolt(5)andtheequalizerbracket(4)intheuprightpositionandslipthecableheadthroughtheholeon
topofthebracket.Pivottheequalizertothehorizontalpositiontocapturethecableheadsintheequalizer.
3.Inserttherearcablehousingintotheshockmountbracket(4)(Figure6-19,Page6-13).Pushthecablehousing
endintothebrackettoensuretheclipsonthehousingendsecurethecableinposition.
4.Attherearwheelbrake,connectthecabletothebrakeactuatorarmusingnewclevispin(2)andnewbowtie
lockingpin(1)(Figure6-19,Page6-13).
5.Placetab(3)oncablehousingovertheforwardleafspringmountingbolt(2)(Figure6-20,Page6-13).Install
nut(1).Tightennutto18.4ft·lb(25N·m).
