ELECTRIC STARTER
S RVICE INFOR ATION
GENERAL
• Some electrical components may be damaged if terminals or connectors are connected or disconnected while the ignition switch
is turned ON and current is present.
• A weak battery may be unable to turn the alternator/starter quickly enough, or supply adequate ignition current.
• This scooter has adopted
an alternator/starter that functions like both an alternator and starter.
• When checking the starter system, always follow the steps
in the troubleshooting (page 6-5).
• If the current
is kept flowing through the alternator/starter to turn it while the engine is not cranking over, the alternator/starter
may be damaged.
