Install and tighten the right rear shock absorber lower
mounting bolt
[1].
Apply engine
oil
to the threads and seating surface of
the rear axle nut
[2].
Install the rear axle nut and tighten it
to
the specified
torque.
TORQUE: 118 N·m (12.0 kgf-m,
87
lbHt)
Install the exhaust pipe/muffler (page 2-28).
INSPECTION
Check the wheel
rim
runout using dial indicators.
Actual runout
is
1/2 the total indicator readings.
SERVICE LIMITS:
Radial: 2.0
mm
(0.08 in)
Axial: 2.0
mm
(0.08
in)
SWINGARM
REPLACEMENT
INSPECTION/
Remove the swingarm (page 18-5).
Remove the side collars
[1]
and
dust seals
[2]
from the
swingarm [3].
Turn the inner race of the bearing [1] with your finger.
The bearing should turn smoothly and quietly.
Also check that the bearing outer race fits tightly
in
the
swingarm.
If the inner race does not turn smoothly and quietly or
outer race fits loosely, replace the bearing
in
the
following procedure.
Remove the snap ring [2].
Drive the bearing out from the swingarm.
