Remove the clutch outer (page 12-12).
Check the clutch shoes [1] for abnormal wear.
Measure the thickness of each shoe.
SERVICE LIMIT: 2.0 mm (0.08 in)
Replace the clutch shoes if they are less than the
service limit (page 12-12).
Install the clutch outer (page 12-20).
Support the scooter with its centerstand.
Check the sidestand spring
[1]
for damage or loss of
tension.
Check the sidestand [2] assembly for freedom of
movement
and
lubricate the sidestand pivot if
necessary.
Check the sidestand switch system:
1.
Retract the sidestand.
2.
Start the engine.
3.
Move the sidestand full down.
4.
The engine should stop
as
the sidestand
is
lowered.
If there
is
a problem with the system, check the
sidestand switch (page 6-13).
FRONT
Loose, worn
